Med aircraft dongle tilkoblet flyets cockpit gir det deg umiddelbar kommunikasjon (full duplex) mellom bakkemannskap og cockpit. Bakkemannskap kan gå innenfor en radius på 50m fra aircraft dongle og fortsatt kommunisere med cockpit.
Når hodesettet og dongelen først har blitt parret (tar noen sekunder) kan enhetene skrus på og disse kobles til automatisk.

The Active Splitter
The ACTIVE SPLITTER from IWCS addresses several commonly occurring requirements for aviation crews. It provides easy connection of two headsets while occupying only one port on your ICS, potentially doubling the headset capacity of your ICS.
The ACTIVE SPLITTER creates full intercom between the attached headsets and offers independent volume control for each. The ACTIVE SPLITTER can also function as impedance matching and provide signal amplification for those situations where you run into incompatibility between headset and ICS. Each headset port on the ACTIVE SPLITTER is
independently configured for the specific headset type.

Example on intercom system
In this case, there are 4 wireless users with iricomm 3.0 waterproof headset.
3 radios are connected. 1 VHF, 1 UHF and 1 TETRA radio.
All radios have their respective PTT buttons. In addition, you can key each radio via the headset by choosing which radio to key from the PTT switch panel.
An iriselect pre-programmed control panel is also connected to such a system.
Iriselect makes it possible to group users with whom they can talk to and who should have access to which radio in the system.

A loudhailer is often a stand alone feature having its own handheld microphone — or a feature of the onboard VHF radio. With iriBoost you can integrate the loudhailer function with your iriSound intercom system—one system that does it all—and with additional benefits.
iriBoost is an intelligent 100W CLASS D amplifier that can drive a powerful loudhailer.
All iriSound models are equipped with 2 AUX ports capable of outputting superior sound quality. By connecting iriBoost to a spare AUX port, your loudhailer becomes an integrated part of your iriSound Intercom system using the headset microphones.
If your iriSound Intercom system includes an iriSelect, it is possible to configure the settings so that only selected users can speak on the hailer. It is even possible to activate the loudhailer wirelessly from an iriComm headset—e.g. while standing out on the deck.

Choose between standard ear-pads or 3D Gel ear-pads. The gel ear-pads will give you a closer fit against tthe cranium around the ears. Thi option provides up to an extra 5dB of passive noise attenuation.

Incomming calls can be answered directly from the headset and music streaming will be set on hold immediately. In Peer To Peer setup, two iriComm 3.0 Headsets can have a simultaneous mobile phone connection. The two users will have Full Duplex Intercom. Any incoming phone calls can be accepted directly from the headset, and will, when accepted, disconnect the intercom as long as the phone conversation is ongoing. When a mobile phone call is hung up the Intercom mode is reactivated instantly.
In an iriSound Intercom set up with more than two users and maybe external radio connections, the iriComm 3.0 headset will provide Full Duplex Intercom to all users. External radios will be integrated in the solution and allow everybody to hear everything… Using an iriSelect – up to 9 groups can be defined.

HIGH BRIGHT LED
High Bright LED functionality provides 3 modes. First mode is a soft reading light. Only 20 % of the Full Power will allow the user to read and see things right in front without interrupting the night vision of people around. Second mode is a Full Power Mode which will allow the user to orientate in total darkness. Third mode is a 3 Hz Full Power Strobe which will let the user be located up to 2 km away.
HEAR THROUGH FUNCTION
HEAR THROUGH FUNCTIONHear Through Function will when activated, decrease the intercom/radio RX with 24 dB, and simultanious open the external microphone, letting the user having a conversation with people in front of them, without removing the headset or the helmet.
