Jatronic has updated the crane system with a new AB-50 microphone that allows for a longer distance from the speaker. Previously, Jatronics AB-40 has been a voicecancelling, directional microphone, while the new AB-50 is omnidirectional. The new microphone system AB-50 is designed after imput from new oil rigs with more silent driller cabins and cranes. The soundpoof new facilities allows to a greater extent that the crane operatior og driller sits longer, up to 45 cm from the microphone, without significant loss of speech quality or gain.
Bjarne Aamli presented the new product at Tekna Telekom Offshore conference in Kristiansand 23. of October, and several interested oil and gas customers want more information on crane systems.
